As well as setting up the rebuilt DB5 I got to some of the new models I love the colour of this one

I had a three day event with Ferrari driving a nice selection of cars this 458 Italia was my favourite with a really slick paddle gearbox and a great screaming engine at high revs

I spent a day testing this classic Aston Martin DB5 it started its rebuild in March 2021 and this was its first test, its been built to full FiA specifications so it can race at Goodwood and Spa in the classic series, the car ran well but we had a problem with the gearbox, but not bad for its first run

Great day driver coaching in this Lamborghini I’ve got to say I’m not a lover of there paddle gearbox having driven so many other makes and models

Event 20/06/21 Fast Laps

I had a great day at the track with Driving Sensations in York

My job for the day was giving customers fast laps in this Lotus from 9am till 5pm I covered 154 miles of flat out driving with top speeds on the short track of 110mph but the cornering speeds of this Lotus are fantastic so we had an average speed of 75mph

I needed a new set of tyres after lunch as the first set were shredded

1st June 2021

Had a good day working with the Aston Martin owners instructing in a Vantage, it’s a really nice car but it has a really heavy front end so it can feel as though it wants to under steer into corners, but if you get the balance right it can really fly

Fast Corners & Straights at Ellington Air Field

The last super car day of the year was at Ellington Air Field, it was a great day weather wise and we had a large number of cars to play with including two Aston Martins a Ferrari 458, Audi R8, two Lamborghini’s Ford Mustang, Porsche 911, Nissan Skyline and a Lotus Elise.

The team did a great job of creating a track on the air strip which gave you some super fast corners and straights but the through some really tight sections in to show car control.

They also had an off road section with a couple of Subaru Impeza’s which looked great fun as it had rained quite heavily the day before.

I stuck to circuit driving as the super cars are always such fun to drive.

FORD SIGMA & FORD DURATEC

I had a great day today putting our three new Caterham’s through there paces we have two 270 specifications cars that have a Ford Sigma 1.6 engine and my favourite the 360 with a Ford 2.0 litre Duratec engine.

The handling of the cars is really good and the 270 spec cars can be made to fly, I have driven both the older spec cars as we still have two at Croft but they have made some good improvements to the newer cars and the new 360 is a lot better than the older version even though the body shell is the same.

We will have to see what the feed back from my clients is when I’m back on track instructing in one

23rd of June was a test day sticking to all the covid19 rules
